Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is a popular American performer and actress. Bell is born in 1980 and is a Michigan native born and raised by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). The mother of Kristen is Polish as is her father, who is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen was already a talented entertainer in the early stages. She was just 12 when she appeared at her first audition and won the role of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mother signed her up with an agency before she turned 13; she then appeared in television advertisements and newspaper ads. Then Bell also started private acting lessons. Bell had a minor role that was not credited to her for her part in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell was a member of the drama and music club in Shrine Catholic High School. Bell was chosen to play the lead role as Dorothy in her high school's production of The Wizard of Oz. Bell went to an institution called the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, where she studied Musical Theatre within New York City. Bell dropped out of her studies in 2001 and began playing Becky who is a character from Tom Sawyer. That is the year she had her first credit debut in Pootie Tang (2001), but her scene was cut and her character was not shown in the credits sequence. Bell appeared in the Broadway revival The Crucible starring Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
