Antonia Lofaso

Antonia's food is a way to explore her life. Her food elicits a fascination that grew from moving outside the suburbs of Long Island and into the multicultural scene in Los Angeles. Cavatellis and carnitas coexisting within the same menu is her ideology. What remains, however, in all of her dishes is a singular vision towards the future while achingly recollecting the previous. Scopa Italian Roots, which Lofaso founded in 2013, was a huge success because it was inspired by her Italian heritage. The old-fashioned Italian version is regarded as one the Los Angeles' most captivating eateries. Lofaso has been described by many as a local favourite that serves up dishes that are authentic, tasty and warm. Lofaso studied under some of famous chefs and mastered their techniques, but was never afraid to go against her own instincts. After a brief period she rose to the top at Wolfgang Puck's Spago. Then she collaborated with many famous celebrities and transformed a variety of Los Angeles restaurants. In 2011 Lofaso worked along with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi to debut Black Market Liquor Bar in Studio City. Lofaso had found home in the Black Market. The creative spirit of Lofaso could be enhanced with this partnership. Black Market has no one idea in its head and it is that way. It could start with dill chips, then shishitos peppers. Next comes the Korean wing and finally the meatballs course. What anchors this bold assortment of flavours is Antonia. Throughout her career Lofaso has measured her success by her innate ability to connect with her viewers while staying true to her own personality. The Top Chef Chicago episode and Top Chef: All Stars highlighted her capacity to be herself outside the cooking environment. Since then she's maintained her career in front of cameras with CNBC's Restaurant Startup Judge and recurring appearances on the Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. In 2012 Lofaso collaborated with Penguin to release The Busy Mom's Cookbook 100 recipes for quick Delicious home-cooked Meals, which also recounts the challenges she overcame while studying at the elite French Culinary Institute, and at the same time caring for her child Xea. Lofaso believes that all her achievements are the result of her love cooking, and she's in a position to stay on the pulse of the industry through her work on the kitchen. Chefletics transforms the appearance of chef wear with its focus on fashion and practicality. What matters to Lofaso is staying true to your ideals. To achieve this intention she is launching Antonia Lofaso Catering, which is a more personalised approach to providing clients with a distinctly personal experience.
